I love this plugin, it let's me organize my kicks, adjust them, and see what key they're in all in one place. I can also quickly audition kicks while my track plays. The only thing missing is if we could organize our user folder into subfolders bc my file is getting too big to browse easily. THM please add this! 😻🎧🎶

SPIT is a great plugin for creating groovy and punchy tech house basslines. The variation feature makes it easy to explore different patterns, while the glide control adds movement and groove. I also like the flexibility to change scales and experiment with different bassline styles. Overall, a very useful plugin that speeds up workflow and makes bassline creation more creative and effortless.

The variety of bassline options and the ability to choose from a wide range of presets make it incredibly easy to find the right sound. I especially love the glide feature, which adds a groovy feel to the bassline, along with the flexibility to switch between different scales. The experience has been fantastic; as soon as I installed it, I was able to create Tech House foundations very quickly. I used Spit to generate an interesting MIDI sequence, Lock to give it that underground sound, and Kix to round out a killer low end. It is definitely highly recommended—having the drums ready meant half the work was already done. I think these are excellent tools.

Amazing plug-in, great bass!
I use this as a vibe marker. There are so many different sounds that exist across different synths. LOCK has the perfect sounds to get a vibe going. After all the kick & bass are key to getting any dance song to move the dance floor. I’ll get my bass pattern(or use SPIT) and my drums/loop (or use KIX as metronome) add some sidechaining then dial in my bass sound from LOCK until I get something that gets me vibing. I’ve been reaching for this more than I care to admit. THM has created a great pairing for inspiring those that may have hit a slump! Bravo guys! I’ve also made a quick template in FL so I can go right for inspiration without losing time setting up a session.
I'm still in test mode but loving all 3 I'm not super technical so the speed of the work flow is key. I love the bass sound's too and I had nice baselines for inspiration it's early day's with all 3 it's definitely a cool bit of kit for me

I produce a ton of house music, and one of my biggest challenges is finding the right bassline to really lock in the groove. What's in the bundle?
SPIT, LOCK and KIX: three plugins built as one low-end system. SPIT writes the bassline, LOCK plays it and KIX puts the kick underneath. SPIT FX is included with SPIT.
What does SPIT do?
It writes house basslines. Set the key, scale, density, length, slide and swing, pick one of six styles, roll until one grooves, then drag the MIDI straight into your DAW.
What does LOCK do?
It plays 99 THM bass sounds in 9 categories, with a multiband sidechain and a full FX rack built in. The BREAK knob turns off the sidechain and adds a high-pass in one move.
What does KIX do?
It plays 50+ THM kicks, and your own. Shape any kick with Transient, Punch, Length and Tone, A/B it, see its key, then drag the result into your DAW.
What is SPIT FX?
The MIDI effect version of SPIT, included with SPIT. It streams the bassline live as MIDI to any synth on your track. One key unlocks both.
Your setup
Will it run on my setup?
Mac and Windows, as VST3 and AU plugins plus a standalone app. Use them in FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro or any DAW that loads VST3 or AU.
Do they run natively on Apple Silicon?
Yes. The Mac versions run natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
Do they work in Pro Tools?
No. Pro Tools only loads AAX plugins, and these come as VST3, AU and standalone.
Do I need Serum or other plugins?
No. LOCK plays THM bass sounds, KIX plays THM kicks, and SPIT previews every bassline with its own bass sound and drums.
Do I need iLok or an internet connection?
No iLok, no dongle, no extra software. You need internet once to activate, and after that everything works offline.

Licence & install
How do I install them?
Your download links arrive by email straight after checkout. Run the installer for Mac or Windows, open your DAW, and rescan your plugins if they don't show up.
How does the licence work?
Your licence keys arrive by email with your download. Open the plugin, enter the key once, and it works offline from then on.
Do I get one key or three?
One per plugin. The bundle gives you a key for SPIT (which also unlocks SPIT FX), one for LOCK and one for KIX.
How many computers can I use?
Up to 3 at the same time, and you can switch around easily.
I lost my licence key. What now?
Check the order email your download came in. Can't find it? Contact us with your order number and we'll send it again.
Using them
Are they only for house?
They're made for house: every sound in LOCK and KIX, and all six SPIT styles, from Tech House to UK Garage. Use them wherever you like, but house is what they do best.
Can I use my own MIDI in SPIT?
Yes. Drop a MIDI file onto SPIT and it rolls fresh variations of your bassline.
Do I need to set up a sidechain for LOCK?
No. LOCK has a multiband sidechain built in, so only the lows duck and the character stays. No routing, no extra plugin.
Can I use the sounds in my releases?
Yes. Every sound is royalty-free, and the tracks you make with them are 100% yours.

Keep the notes you like, reroll the rest
Click any note on the pattern display to keep it. Press SPIT and everything else rolls again while that note stays exactly where it is, at the same pitch and the same length. Click it a second time to hand it back to the roll. Kept notes are drawn in white, and a counter in the corner of the display clears them all at once. They save with your project.
Drag octave
A new MIDI tab in Settings sets the octave a dragged clip lands at in your DAW, separate from the OCTAVE control that sets what you hear. It starts at C5. SPIT’s preview is a bass sample and sits low, while the synth you are sending the clip to usually wants it higher, so clips no longer need transposing by hand after every drag. Set it to the same octave as OCTAVE and the two agree again.
Mute
A speaker in the seed card silences the preview without stopping it, so you can compare SPIT against your own patch without the loop jumping back to the top every time you switch. It is deliberately never saved with your project. SPIT always opens audible.
FIXED
- Dragging a clip out of SPIT and releasing it over SPIT’s own window no longer loads that clip back in as a dropped file. It used to switch the panel into FROM MIDI mode with STYLE off and DENSITY greyed out without anyone asking for it. Reported in Cubase 15 on an M1 Mac.

A separate, free effects plugin built from LOCK's own FX chain (Distortion, Delay, Reverb, Erosion, Chorus, Phaser). Load it on any track or bus, no bass sound required. Your existing LOCK license activates it too, nothing extra to buy or enter. Available now on Windows and macOS.
Tooltips
Hover almost any control and a short explanation shows up after a moment. Turn them off under Settings > Display if you'd rather not see them.
Sound browser scrollbar
A scrollbar in the sound browser, for when there are more sounds than fit in the list. The mouse wheel still works too.
FIXED
- A legato note played right as a fast retrigger was fading out could get skipped, so an older note played instead of the one you'd actually just pressed.
- The macOS installer now installs LOCK FX alongside LOCK, matching what the Windows installer already did.
- A handful of smaller stability fixes under the hood: project loading, license checking, and a couple of effect edge cases.

TUNE
Pitch the loaded kick up or down a full octave from the front panel. It snaps to whole semitones so you can land on a note without fighting it, and holding Shift gives you cents for matching a bassline that sits slightly off. Double-click returns it to the kick’s own pitch. Tuning works like a sampler rather than a pitch shifter, so a kick tuned down gets longer and one tuned up gets shorter. The key readout follows along, so it always shows the note you are hearing, not the note in the file.
IMPROVED
- The kick browser’s scrollbar can be dragged now. Grab it, or click anywhere on it to jump straight to that part of the list. It is also wider and easier to hit.
- The waveform circle is slightly smaller to make room for TUNE, so the kick list shows eleven rows instead of twelve. Nothing else moved.
FIXED
- KIX no longer plays a kick on its own. Dropping in a new instance, or deactivating and reactivating it, fired the loaded sample at full volume with nothing asking for it. If you gain-stage quietly, that arrived loud.
- Loading a longer kick over a shorter one could set it playing by itself too. Same cause, also fixed.
- The first kick after loading the plugin now hits at full strength. It was being faded in over a few milliseconds, which quietly took the edge off the attack.
- The OUTPUT and TUNE sliders now sit exactly where they say they do. The handle could sit a couple of pixels off the value it was reporting.
